Golf Gauntlet, Carolina Charm

Our “Classic Carolina” trip begins in the most golf-happy town in America, Pinehurst, North Carolina. Featuring the new homes of the United States Golf Association and the World Golf Hall of Fame, as well as being the host of the 2024 U.S. Open, the Pinehurst No. 2 course is one of eleven fantastic tracks at Pinehurst. Late evening play on the quaint Cradle par-three course, with drink in hand, is a can’t-miss experience. Next, we travel south to the delightful Southern city of Charleston, South Carolina, and the most difficult golf course per slope rating in the United States: The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island. Home of the 1991 Ryder Cup, forever known as the “War at the Shore,” it will test every skill you have—or wish you had. Finally, two hours further south down the coast to the southern tip of South Carolina awaits the devilish Harbour Town Golf Links, the highest-rated course on tour by the players—and the tightest.
