The Crown of Caribbean Golf

The Dominican Republic was just another island in the Caribbean until Pete Dye showed up in the early ’70s. Casa de Campo Resort, and particularly the Teeth of the Dog course designed by Dye, put the Dominican Republic on the tourist map and continues today as one of the most popular warm-weather vacation destinations in the world. Built mostly with hand labor by the locals, many of the holes are right on the beach, outlined with gorgeous rock walls. Pete loved the Dominican so much that he later built two more courses, including the spectacular Dye Fore course, routed around steep canyons in the rainforest.
