Los Angeles/Palm Springs

Before Los Angeles became wall-to-wall people, a few spectacular golf course designs were routed through some beautiful parts of the city. Bel-Air Country Club, Lakeside, Riviera, and Los Angeles Country Club, to name just a few, boast incredible golf and A-list members. More recently, the Trump National Course, with its interesting history of the 18th hole sliding off into the ocean a few years ago, is a delightful Pete Dye test on the cliffs of Palos Verdes, adjacent to the five-star Terranea Resort. And if it’s not the middle of summer, a short drive east to the golf playground of Palm Springs features a number of Pete Dye classics, such as the ruggedly challenging Stadium Course at PGA West.
