Pete Dye Golf Trail of Indiana
Although Pete didn’t grow up in Indiana, he spent much of his adult life living in Indianapolis. While he was there, he left his mark with his golf course designs all over the state. French Lick Resort, south of Indy, is routed uniquely across the top of ridges, where at times golf is played above the clouds in the neighboring valleys. Also on the agenda are Purdue University’s two championship-quality courses, the historic Brickyard Crossing course partially routed inside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Pete’s home course Crooked Stick, where John Daly became a legend by winning the 1991 PGA Championship.
